my thoughts exactly. the porting that I have seen. has the carb side ridge thinned out alot more. looks like a good start though.

Ok Ricky, Graffix Unlimited (407-291-7000) is the place. Ocoee, Fl. (vic@graffixunlimited.com). He said to email him with the size and colors. Mine are 3inch x 16inch. The DS letters are white w/black underlay and the "650" is just plain black. But you can get what ever colors you want. He is a real cool guy too.

Well, as for the opening on the intake, the goal should be to "straighten" the flow path as much as possable. So if you open the entrance along with the rest of the runner, you will still have about the same radius on the "S" shape side of the runners. Only they'll be further apart. The line of sight looks better to me this way. The "S" shape has been flattened as far as i feel safe to take it. The machined edge for the boot gets in the way. Once i start my flow testing, i'll know for sure. I gotta round up another motor first. Anyone?
Once i start getting the flow data, i'll let you guys in the 411. I was looking at the stock head on my bike, and the short turn is pretty abrupt. Drops way too sharp. I can't wait to get my hands in there.

AllRed...Your DS looks nice. I'm interested in your red rear fenders. Were they painted red? Stickers?

Well, the 05's are all red now. No paint needed. I assume you're asking about my rear fender decals. I had those special made. I used to have a 86' 350X, and they looked alot like that. I always liked the way they looked. So, i made some for the DS.

Looks nice, except from the pictures, it almost looks polished. IMO, it needs a little roughness to aid in atomization of the fuel.

I use what's called a flap/wheel to finish the surface. It's not a polished surface, but it does make everything nice and even. Pic's make it look kinda' shiny. It has some grain to it. But not much. Mixture motion should handle the rest.

I was talking about the fenders. I guess that shows I haven't seen the '05's yet. Thanks for the reply.
