My clutch has never slipped (yes, I'm knocking on wood) and I think the Pami's pull is a little easier on the hand.

15/42 for most slightly modified bikes is best.
I know for the older DS's you can still use your stock chain with this set-up. I've seen a few guys run 15/43 with great luck but, you'll need a longer chain.
If you ride at sea level and don't have long steep hills, 15/40 is probably fine. If you ride somewhere flat like Pismo, 16/40 is a lot less work.
As you go up in mods you go back up in gearing.
If you ride at places like Sand Mt., NV or Sand Mt. UT (higher altitude) you will want to gear down (15/42).
I don't know anyone running a 14/40 combo. Seems a little low to me. Especially for Glamis.
I'm running a 16/39 (with mods) at Sand Mt. but, last year ran a 17/40 at Glamis and was fine with gearing.

I'm going to try the 15/40 first (Glamis).
I just went over to RWR and bought the 60% springs and a gasket. Looks like I'm changing the springs too.
Thanks all.

The only thing I can tell you, is to get your pocket book ready for whenever you get back. Because, you will now be introduced to the world of adrenaline. Speed equals money, how fast do you want to go....lol!! Sounds like you have a good start to say the least. I run a K&N Filter with outwears, but to each his own. Let us know how it turns out!!!

The installation went well. Unfortunately I could only test it around the block a coupla times. I have to wait until Saturday to really test it. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning!!

The 60% springs are such a small change in the pull of the clutch you don't have to worry about the extra pull. It is possible the barnett cluch is better, but the 60% springs work. If you go from a stock bike, to a bike with 60% springs without knowing the 60% springs are on it you'll most likely not know it. I've rode several bikes that had them and had no idea. If you stand them side by side, and test the pull you will notice it, and if you pull the clutch about fifty times in a row, you'll know they are tighter. If you pull the clutch once in a while to chsnge gears, you'll never know they are there. I'm sure you'll love your new HPR kit with the 60% springs - that is exactly what I run and it's great!

Just did pretty much the same mod about a month ago & its pretty simple. You'll have a big grin after riding with your new set up & say good bye to you're raptor & yfz friends when draggin up the hill. I pull 4th to the rev limiter when pulling the hill. I have a 15/42 combo on mine w/ct pipe and k&n. I still have the stock springs and haven't had a problem yet, (knock on wood ) but plan on a 9 disc barnett in the future.
