Default Time to sell the DS and move on to other hobbies..How much to ask?

O man, its been fun!!! But with new kid on the way and lifestyles simply chaning I just dont have the time or money to spend on the DS any more. I am going to keep the old 400ex for the wife and probably get another quad in a few years, one I can do work with and hunt with.. But for now its time to say good by.. Anyways, I am really not sure what to ask for the entire package, I am NOT going to part it out! I dont even want to think of what I have put into it.. Here is a list of current MODS

Tachometer
Chain Roller
Nerf Bars
Tires/Rims (Kenda Klaws only 2 rides on them slight dings)
Swing Arm Plate (Not installed but its used)
Gas and Cooler Rack (Slightly bent from a tip over)
RW CDI
Aero Tech Heal Guards
Graydon Radiator Schrouds
Trail Tech Billet Lights
Lectron 46 carb
Ported Intake
Piston 11.5:1 RWR
Valve Springs
Clutch springs
Rear Steel Brake Line
A1/A2 cams
twin inline coolers
Cam Tensioner
Stay Bolts in the motor
+0+1 TBR Arms (Only 2 rides on them)
1 TBR swing arm (Only 2 rides on them)
PRM Baja Bumper
Trail Tech X Bars
Trail Tech Riser

What it needs.
New Pipe!
Rear Brake Pads
hand grips
battery
1 nut and 1 washer (for the front sprocket)

Its an 2001 Yellow

Please dont make offers so this gets removed I just want to ask a fair price...

Have you considered parting out some of the items that are easy to remove such as the 46HV, RW CDI, rims/tires. That is assuming you still have the stock replacements. You can get some decent cash for those types of items selling them either here or on ebay.

I gotta agree with DSEngineer.

I would think with the mods if you could find the right person you could get $5k for it. I've had this same conversation with some other buddies recently. Finding a home for a BUILT quad is tough. Most of the people that have the money to do modifications will do them themselves. But, these are the people that would have the money to spend $7k on a used quad. How many people do you know that would drop more than $7k for a used quad? There are plenty out there that are worth well over $10k and finding a buyer is going to be more difficult.

Do you still have the stock swing-arm? A-Arms? Those items and the Lectron and the cams are probably your best shot of parting out stuff. The other things are probably not worth the effort. If you could find a home for these items: Swing-arm $300, A-arms $300, Lectron $400???, Cams $100 to 150 + exchange for stock (PM me )
That 11.5:1 piston with the A1/A2 cams is an awesome set-up. Probably the best bang for the buck set-up and a very reliable set-up too.

You may be better off putting the stock grab bar back on. I think I would rather buy a quad with a straight stock grab bar then a bent aftermarket bar (bent bar is an indication of heavy use.)

I would try to get $5k for it but, I would probably set $3,500 as my low end. Is this the range you were thinking?
So, if you could get $1000 for the parts and $4,000 for the quad would you be happy? That's my thoughts???

No I dont have stock parts any more.. Sold them off over the past years...

I also really dont want to take the time to strip and replace.. I dont want to go back into the motor.. I really just want it gone Part of my problem is TIME to do these things... I am thinking of 4k as is.. Just neeeeeeeeeeeed to find a buyer now...
I dont think that nuts to ask...
