Default Stroking the DS....

Anyone here have thiers stroked? If so how much of a difference did it make? Is there anyway to get low end arm ripping torque out of this beast? My DS feels pretty lunge forward like, but I want a little (or a lot) more.

First of all with that 46hv thats your problem with low end torque, I lost mine as well than when I put the factory carb back on......
BAM it was all there and more. You outta check out some other carbs you might find one that a little nicer on being generous on torque. I am if I find anything will let you know, but the carb you have has pleanty of top end!

I ran both the 720 and the 770 stroked side by side for weeks with everything else the same. Duel fcrs on both. Dont ask me why but the 720 was faster in the 100 yards but the 770 was much more fun to ride.

Went from a Stage III - 11:1 piston set-up to a 680 (102mm bore) with the 11:1. Then to the 760 with the 12:1 set-up.

The 760 is an amazing duner. There's no comparison with the difference of power.

I think Falicon and TVI offer crank options for your TVI Sleeved Cylinder. I would suggest sticking with Gary. He's done well for you with the 720 and he's the one that put together the kit.

Down side. . . strokers are expensive and they require splitting the cases.

Are you going to put Nitrous to it and drag it or just set it up for duning?

DuneMe,

My 720 is leaking coolant. I'm looking into an option of sending it to MRHP and have him do the whole works. How do you like your 760. I saw Wayne's run at Silver Lake in 2003 and he was wheeling it down the raceway. He also had a base model 760.

Husker,
Actually the HV46 woke up my bike ALL THE WAY AROUND. I love this carb. I just need to dial it in a bit more. Has a slight bog which I'm sure I can get rid of. Since I put that carb on and fiddled with the Clutch my DS pull strong now, but I would like a Raptor like ease of front end off the ground at will effect.
