Antifreeze does two things. . . lowers the freezing temperature and has corrosion inhibitors.
You don't need the first one since your quad isn't stored in cold climate. I don't think there is any steel in the quad so, I wouldn't worry about rust. If you have a sleeved jug then you need something to prevent corrosion but, not with aluminum (I don't think).
Oh, the third thing Antivreeze (Glycol) does. . . reduces the efficiency of the heat exchanger (radiator).
Engine Ice MAY have the corrosion inhibitors you need. Not sure.

trust me ... ... even aluminum is subject to corosion. use coolant. aluminum will pit and scale from the contaminates and minerals in water. the coolant helps to keep that to a minimum. if you can afford a ds you can afford six or seven bucks for a jug of coolant that will last about three complete fluid changes. jmo

I change mine once a season . maybe twice if i do alot of riding. by the way get a jug of distilled water from the grocery store for a buck and use it with coolant. it is free of minerals. that is what engine ice uses with its chemicals. engine ice is pre-mixed and that is what it is mixed with.
