Has anyone flow tested the stock carb to see how many cfm it could flow?
How do you calculate carb size requirements? What size for HP range

It appears looking at the Mikuni site that the DS 42mm CV carb flows at the rate of a 40mm flatside.
This would be about 200 at 12 inches of water
200 X 1.5 = 300cfm at 28 inches of water(roughly)

If the carb flows 300 and is usually 20% larger than head flow requirements,
then this carb should be adequate when used with heads that flow 240cfm(220stock)
to generate in the 55 to 60 horsepower.

Has anyone just had their heads slightly ported/cleaned up, installed a high compression piston(11to1),
stock cam and dyno'd the results?
