Default Ron Woods Pipe How loud?

I am considering a Ron Woods pipe but am a little concerned about the sound, it seems these sound guns are popping up more and more. Any one know how loud the pipe actually is?

I tested my RWR Exhaust on the dunes from an official tester - 105db at 2000 rpm. No - I didnt get a ticket, but got a warning.

If you replace the packing, that will help. But mine was brand new when I had it tested. I do love the sound of the RWR exhaust.

This is an issue in our club here in Florida. We are going to go by the Cross Country standard which is 96 db.
Mine, stock, read 91.8
I would like to try modding the end cap and jetting the carb for the low end torque. I think that will keep it under the 96 db's.
Loud doesn't alway equal better, faster, or more power.
Loud produces a "FEELING" of more power.
There are plenty of things to do other than making your machine LOUD.
The champions in our club are withing the parameters. The further back in the pack, the louder the machines. Go figure?
Here is something...

Possibly more important that who’s riding where in the 125 class will be how loud their bikes are. We spoke to Steve Whitelock of AMA Pro Racing this week about the sound issues, which he promises to crack down on in 2005.
Said Whitelock, “There was a competition bulletin issued by the AMA in November concerning noise control and what we’re going to do. It gave fair and clear warning to the riders, teams and mechanics that we are going to be enforcing the 102 decibel limit. We are traveling around right now, me and the technician that’s going to be doing the sound control, and we’re visiting the OEMs and the pipe manufacturers to show them exactly how we’re going to do the tests, what the parameters are and the equipment that we’re going to use. We are going to enforce the rule very hard. At Anaheim 1 and Phoenix there will be a noise control, but no one will be held back from racing. But after Anaheim 2, motorcycle that do not pass noise control will not be allowed to participate.”
According to reports from the practice track, KTM’s new 250F that Nathan Ramsey is riding is right at 102, but some of the other teams are still as much as a half-dozen decibels over. This will be a big issue come Anaheim 2.

This is a real issue with OHV's
