i fell for the " it will change engine timing and up the power"[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] snake oil, it will turn off the rev limiter and thats about it. it really is the best money you can spend on a stock ds. it is the foundation for any other engine mods in the furture, without it you will never know what the higher rpm's (hp) feels like. good luck.

It also has different power curves , i spent many hrs on a dyno and found that there was a big differnece , so much so the bike tech who does my tuning got himself the agency for New Zealand for Vortex , and now he puts them on every typ of bike he can.
Dyno's dont lie , they are the best i have found. U can really notice the difference on the fly between modes .

Donecrashed, Sorry dont know the $ on the vortex. The box you are talking about is called the rectifier, differant animal, your CDI is located on the left side of your DS, mounted to the frame right next to the fuel tank kind of half under the head light/fuel tank plastic just in front of where your left knee would be if you were riding.
