so 50 in a 35 would run you about 225-250$, not to mention the points they nail you with and then

your insurance goes through the roof, NY insurance is crazy----

My brother got pulled over doing 101 in a 70!!!! sowhere around a $250-$300 ticket yikes[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] and i think its soo hight mostly because he was doing a hundered!

 

a bird dog and a cb is the best way to avoid those cops, saved me from many of tickets!!!!!

 

wife got 11 over for $300 plus traffic school @ $75. Vegas cops. First offense.

I got caught at 87 in a 55. All it cost me was a case of beer. My best freind is a cop.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I did have to pay a 78 in a 65. $150.00.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

Funny this subject came up now. i just got my first ticket in 14 years last week 59 in a 45 zone = 122.00. Not bad compared to some of you. He had me on radar at 60 but wrote me for 59 cuz anything 15 miles over doubles the fine!!!! I guess he was feeling generous. I'll go to traffic school to keep it off my record so the total bill including the cost of school will be 225.00. funny how the extras add up.

 

like atvaddict01 said, The ticket is not so bad, it is when they jack up your ins. I have had my share of speeding tickets, most were around 100.00. One time I did get out of it, I bought a used van at a dealer, it had oversized tires on it, the cop got me 55 in a 45. I took the van back to the dealer and had the speedo checked, they wrote a note saying it was 8 MPH off going 45. I took this to court, he let me slide.
