What screws are you turning? Or are you using the cable to adjust idle? Mine idles really well. Aim for 2000 RPMs, it works really sweet right at that point.

When I ran my Lectron, adjusting the idle was just like any other carb, you turn one screw for adjustments. Its the only horizontal screw on the carb. Check out my web site under the technical section for pictures of the carb with instructions.

Sounds to me like you need to work on you routing. Mine did it when when I first put it in wrong and had the cable in a bind.

The cable is all cool guys pulls real smooth. I am turning the right screw but it is just locking the slide in place. I also have the correct 1/8" slack in the cable per MRHP.

Try lifting the slide up then turning the adj screw in. Sounds like it's just pushing on the side of the slide instead of getting underneth it like it should.

DITTO!

Also welcome to the forums LuvTheBomb! Nice job of looking outside the box. I think I missed that one.
