what size fuse is on the Baja auxiliary lights?
Anybody with a Baja or Baja manual or electrical print -
there is a fuse holder on one of the lights - one light has the relay mounted to it, the other has a fuse holder just like the ones under the seat for the main and fan - what size fuse belongs there for these lights? Are these 35W bulbs? If so then they will be pulling 6 amps together, so I guess it otta be a 8A or 10A fuse?
I'm wiring a set on my standard DS, so generously given to me by a fellow forum member (many many thanks!).

Did you put in the better bulbs before you get them installed?

Bulb Replacement:
-Disconnect the aux headlight then remove it from the support
-remove the back cover of the aux light, by means of 2 screws
-Remove the screw retaining the BLACK wire
-detach bulb and replace, ensuring it is replaced with a 35 watt bulb.
That should do it.

HT,
I forget the H number, but you can get a 55w bulb for them as well. I figure if I saved the power with the 55w=110w headlight, I could afford to add 40watts to my aux lights.
I got mine at a Pep Boys. Once those lights are mounted, swapping bulbs SUCKS!!
I only use my auxs on leading night rides. Ones pointed down/left the other is down/right so I can check razors real easy. I see some folks keep them on all the time, but with a nice headlight, I don't have to anymore.

mudnuri,
The DS has about 100watts more stator power than any other sport quad. The DS also doesn't have any more or less electrical features than any other sport -- that consume any real wattage.
I figured since I'm not mounting all the Dakar GPS accessories, I might as well light up the night.
I've never had battery or starter problems, so I can't be that far off on my power calculation.
