I finally got around to checking the valve clearance they all where at .005 (that is as close to the middle of the specs that I have a feeler gauge for) But one was a little tight the left intake valve but I have no clue as to how you change the clearance any help would be apprecated. I'm a diesel mechanic but that sucker looks nothing like a Cat or a Cummins on the inside. Thanks for the paddle help and Scooby would you be intrested in selling yours once you get the 22's.

You change the shims. Don't ask me how, but that is what I was told by the local dealer. Pretty crappy system if you ask me, but I have been told that once you adjust them for the initial break in, they are pretty consistant and long lasting.

Good luck,

If a .004 will fit then it is ok. The tappet is actually a cover that sits on the spring and the shims are between the tappets and the retainer.
It is a very common system for overhead cams and stays truer than set screw style adjusters.
