Choosetoloose04, as with any drag setup, less weight and more power is what you want. Short drags, quick response high horsepower. Long drags add torque to that. Being even more specific, No matter what bore you have, you need to fill and empty it as quick as possible. Some of up cheat fill it with nitrous or forced by turbos. If want to run naturaly aspirated, run tight compression, high lift and long duration cams. large bore carb, drag style pipe. Most everyone agrees the larger tire diameters produce better results. So go with as large tire that you can pull. Gear to the tire size and drag length. If you can save yourself a shift by using different gearing in a short race then do that, shifting takes time. On the weight part of things, one pound of rotating mass equals roughly one horse or seven pounds of dead weight, so start there. Remove what ever is not needed, and shave down what is.
