Ya, I knew that we found out later that they were A1A2, but I'm pretty sure that you and I discovered that they had a different config than the ones they have now.
Also, no offense at all, but I have the .425 lift Web Cam that was recommended to me to go with my older style 14:1. While it does have tons of torque, and its great on flat drags, Its pretty much useless in tree shots and short steep dune drags, which is pretty much all that I ride these days. So, given the choice of my DS, and my 440EX, the EX is a better choice than the DS for that style of riding, which is why its the only quad I ride these days except for when I want to cruise.
On the DS, I am going back to the A1A2 with the something like the 12:1 piston on the DS. Fill me in on what you mean when you say "we both know the ex put the hurt to a lot of people with those a-1 a-2 cams". When was this? At Sand Mountain?

Personally, I'm not impressed with flat drag races - its just not my thing. I am impressed with quads that can climb out of idiot holes, and short steep dune drags. Any combination of piston, carb and cam that can do those things well, that's where my money is at.
