Looking at getting a ds650... ???'s
#1
Hello all,
I have a Cannondale that I haven't ridden in almost 2 years because of everything that went down. I am getting ready to take it somewhere and have the reliability updates done this weekend. But I got to thinking, after putting $1500 into it, I would still have a high maintenance quad, and the uncertainty that goes with cdale and atk. Why not get a new bike? I am a pretty big guy(285 lbs.) as I have seen some of you are and I think I would be confortable on the DS.
I don't race or anything and am just looking for a trail bike to run around in Ohio and the surrounding area. Is the DS ok in the woods and on the trails unlike all the reviews state? Also should I go for the standard bike or the Baja X? What's a good OTD price on both?
Thanks,
Josh

You won't be disappointed in getting the DS. I'm 6'6" and 280lb and am very comfortable on my DS. 100% of all my riding
so far has been on the Michigan trails in the woods and have had no problem getting around.
As far as the standard or the x model, if you want the nerfs, hand guards, extra lights, tach and other bells and whistles it has then get the x otherwise get the standard and use the savings on other stuff you want.
Not sure on pricing in Ohio but if you can find a leftover '04 you can save some cash to.
