Default EBAY strikes again

Well as you all seen I was bidding on a DS on Ebay. I lost . I told the seller via private email that if the high bidder did not come through I would honor my bid and take the quad off his hands. Today I received an email from a singapore223 or something like that saying that he was offering me a second chance bid on the quad as I had expressed interest in wanting a second chance. The original seller was nocando something or other. So this is one of two things, either the guy didnt come through and its legit but I dont think thats the case considering the guy has been on here posting about it. or 2, this is a classic ebay hoax that we are aware of, what do you guys think??????

Its not a rare thing for people to back out of a big ticket deal on ebay after they win the auction. Ask the seller to send you an official "second chance offer" notice from ebay's website and things will be legit. If he is using his own name, lives in the continental US and has a decent amount of feed back on something more than 4 dollar trinkets then I would think he's a legitimate seller.

If not. . . don't do it.

tell him you want to buy it but you want to pay cash when you pick it up. then he cant scam you, if he gives you his address it is probably real.

DONT DO IT. The second chance thing can be faked and has been faked. They tried it with me on a quad before. It is easy to replicate ebay notices and emails such as second chance offerings. Unless it is in US, dont do it.
