The only time that does not work is if the PayPal account he's using is stolen. Once the real user finds out and reports it to PayPal, they will rip the funds out from your account. Been there, done that. To make sure this isnt the case, verify that his email address is the same as his paypal ID.

I use my paypall to pay in US dollars a lot and it asks me which currency i want to pay in when i log in, i also take the hit on exchange rate not the seller.
One word of warning if the guy is using a credit card to fund his payment you need to have your acount set up to accept the payment its easy to do but costs you around 3 or 4 %, when the payment comes in paypall will advise you if this is the case.
Budman, not every one from outside the US is a criminal, just a lot of us dont get too paranoid

blue250r,
This always comes up when people from different countries get together. Its not the country thats the problem, its the border. If I lived in Australia (which I have) then I would totally trust folks' payments from Australia. Put a border between the seller and the buyer and the commerce laws fly out the window. For example, if something gets shipped to someone, then PayPal rips the money out of my account, I can use UPS delivery records and have a collections agency go after them - but only if they live in the same country. Thankfully, I havent had to do that yet, but I dont ship much outside my border. Dont get paranoid blue250r! LOL

Blue250r, The reason I asked about was it a forum memeber is because I have great dealings with forum members. But I have not done any over seas dealings. I have not had any dealings with you but I would do business with you. I was hoping MrMeaner was going to say it was you. I was going to give thumbs up. When I'm dealing with forum members I look @ how long they have been around, there standing in the forums & what they give back to the forums with honest replies/feedback. I would do business with you, but I can't say the same for all overseas forum members. Most haven't been around long enough or there replies/feedback is questionable at best.
The buyer has only been here from Feb. of '05 so I would be very careful of this forum member. I've seen so many hang out for 2 or 3 months & disappear. Thats is also for members in the states that I wouldn't have dealings with. JMO
Blue250r I give you thumbs up but that is just me IMO.

Blue250r, I NEVER said anyone overseas were criminals. Maybe I am paranoid. I was just telling mrmeaner, buyer beware. You always hear stories and that's probably what most are. Again, not to say you're not a good buyer, but why deal with it? I'm not sure what he's selling, but why doesn't the guy next door or down the street want to buy it, or why can't you buy it in Scotland? Never meant to strike a bad note with you, just watching out for my "homies". Ride on!
