set-up recomendations
#1
i just got a hmf instead of my stocker with end cap. i also got a ported intake( man that thing was thinned out!) and i run a uni filter. i run a 170 main in my stock carb. i just put on the pipe and also the intake. have not got to ride it yet. should i go up a size in jet and also i run the air/fuel screw out three turns. should i leave it this way or change the jets etc. i just want to get it tuned up right. anyone running a similer set up let me know what your "dialed in " settings are. thanx

Dialed in setting for one bike does not necessarily apply to your bike. Every bike is different when it comes to tuning. I would say go out and ride it first. You may find that your jetting is still on and not have to make any changes. I doubt you are rich with a 170, so if it doesn't run right chances are you are lean. Pop a 175 in and see how it runs. Where is your needle set? I ran mine in the richest position.

thanks, i know bike to bike is different but you can get an idea of where to start from other rides. dialed in may not have been the best choice of words. i know ya got to do that on your own. i never have messed with my clip position so i am not sure where it is at. i will check it tomorrow night.
