I spoke with Ron Wood Racing today. Our dealership will be set up to sell the RWR products. They should have a complete exhaust system in about two weeks. The MSRP on the full exhaust will be around $650 and just the canister will be $450. They finally got a DS to use as their test mule. The guy I talked to today acted extremely excited about all the potential of the DS. He said 70 HP will not be a problem and they expect to get as much as 90 with more serious mods. I have a couple of pics of me riding a DS but they are not the greatest. If DS650TX would post on here how to add a picture to this posting I will post a couple for everyone to see.

Cool,
I contacted Ron Wood about 1 month ago after contacting a website which had forums relating to the BMW F650 and told them ALL about the DS-650. Looks like Ron Woods Racing is gonna step in and rip the lid right off thh DS-650! But like I was warned at www.f650.com 650ROTAX, they aint cheap(Sorta wished you had not not of mentioned prices on the forum, I can hear it now!)

Your gonna be a dealer, COOL! That rocks!

But again, Is it set up for big dudes or can a guy 5'7 be comfortable?

RoostKing...

Ron Woods Racing in Costa Mesa, CA eh? Thats just a couple blocks away from where I work. I may just have to visit their facility soon and give them a once over.

I think this may be the ATV to really galvinize something good in this sport. I think Honda's 400EX leading off was a good prelude- in that it looked good, was a good idea, but it was just a little taste of what was to come. Now with the DS650, I think this may just be the begining of some really good high performance big bore 4-stroke machines. I seriously doubt that all of the japanese companies will stay out of the running for long, maybe just another couple of years. I'd also be interested to see if Polaris tried to produce something more 'sporty' (Read something without an automatic and floorboards!) and how many of the companies now producing only motorcycles are going to be more than a rumor and produce a sporty race bread ATV. There are certainly pleanty of aftermarket shops that I would anticipate to be willing to get into a factory deal as Doug Roll did with Kawasaki.

The future looks brighter every day. I also am hoping that the sport will take off enough before all our lands are stolen and locked down. If we get enough steam (we can already see the Dirt Bike people don't have it) we may be able to change some of the flow of lands going away from us and see new lands open up instead of close. It doesn't look like the Dirt Bike fans can save our land, (They've had 10+ years) so I'd say it's up to us ATV'ers,
"Cuz we're good enough, smart enough, and dog gone it, people like us!"

The DS is very comfortable. So far everyone who has ridden it has complemented the seating position. It looks big and intimidating but all that changes when you ride it. I don't think smaller riders will have any problems (unless they get it stuck).

"CT racing is developing the Bombardier DS 650 we have completed Two pipes. A Slip on Version for stock motors, and a complete system for mod motor packages. The Pipe kit on a stock motor is the most impressive result we've ever tested on a four stroke. We are gaining as much as ten horsepower on the low end, where this motor needs th most help.We have a minimum increase of two horsepower over the whole curve. We'll keep you posted to more changes."[/size]
