thinking about buying the outlander 400. Just sold 500 Vinson. Wondering if the Outlander comes close to the Vinson. Vinson does 60mph.

 

Ren the outlander does come pretty close to 60 mph. I got my brother's
to go 58 mph on a gps, and I could have gotten a little bit more.

 

I have an 05 Outlander 400 2 seater. 55mph best she will do on the beach. Not to bad with me and the wife on it.

 

I've not really every tried to reach the top end, but have done 54 down a very bumpy gravel road. The suspension absorbed every bump, even after taking air over some crest's in the road. One more thing the gas mileage it has especially when getting 30 Mpg in rock crawling situations is great. And with gas being $2.50 a gallon out here in Calif that comes in handy. Sure it may not beat a Suzuki in a drag race or go faster on smooth road. But other situations that you would more likely come across, it will do just great. My Wife bought one, after prying it lose from her hands to ride it she said "no more riding my quad, you go get your own." And I did last year. Now can't wait for all this snow to melt out of the Sierra's too start my second summer of riding the Outlander.
