Hey, Scott I assume you took it to Clawson. I have learned that, when it comes to the DS, they are ALWAYS out of ANYTHING that you would want. I have some carb parts that are on backorder until 4/22. It seems like it that's the way it goes everytime I need something. Don't know if its really their fault, though.

Talked to the dealer today and he said that if the bearings are alright, then they will just repace the bearings. He also told me that Bombardier is making them use a certain kind of grease in the axle, and that Bombardier told them to replace the seals wheather they are bad or not. So like many I'm waiting on parts to come in.

If your DS has a recall on it for the bearings. Then you will be getting new bearings and seals !.. There were some DS that had just a little grease on them and some what had no grease on them.Yes bombardier want to use a certain type of grease on the bearings. The dealers are NOT getting rich off of the recall. Flat rate is only 1.1hrs. Why complain about it....It is FREE to YOU.

Do you have to wait until you get the notice? I have an 04 and someone printed the serial numbers here that are affected. Mine falls within the range of the serial numbers. Does the notice come from the dealer you purchased from or Bombardier?

Dunestalker, Didn't say that I was complaining about it, just simply asking a question.

NO Hoax...

In fact my DS is not even on the list to be recalled and my bearings were shot! No grease to speak of and were blued from heat. I only opened it up just to make sure everything was good and thank Dios I did! I suggest everyone check.
