I have an 04x and my bearings went out 5months ago, taking the carrier and the axle with it. I did not know about the recall so I replaced it all myself with after market parts. After hearing about the recall I contacted my dealer, just to find out my unit is not on the recall order. I am know fighting with BRP to get reinversed for the price of the stock parts. Has anyone had this problem?

I did something similar to you. My DS was not on the list but the bearings were shot! there was very little grease and it was hardened. The bearings were blue from heat but not to the point of damaging the carrier or axle yet.. I purchased new bearings and seals and fixed it myself.
