I am not a seasoned rider but i feel like there is still some power left on the table. He did go on to recommend the Vortex cdi ( too much cha ching ) . I guess i'll try a used or new $100-$130 unit and see for myself.

I have the Procomm and haven't experienced the problems some forum members have reported. It was recommended by another DS rider I talked with in the trails last summer here in MI. To read about $1300.00 in damage has me considering reinstalling the OEM CDI. After I installed the HMF slip-on, re-configure carb and installed the K&N, I was bumping the rev limiter in no time. The extra 500 RPM has me rarely hitting it now. This should be simple EE, right?
