Default Elka help

Christmas came early and I found myself with a front set of quad rate Elkas! They are slightly used. When I mounted them, they hit my ASR a arms. I had to screw the ends almost all the way out so the shock would clear.
Then I checked to see where the settings were at and found that someone had played with all the settings. Is there a starting point in which the compression **** should be? Or does it not matter? It was set at 2 away from softest setting.
The rebound adjustment was the same. At 2 clicks from all the way soft. Well one was. The other was all the way soft.
Also, can you twist the shocks a little with your hands or do I not have them mounted correctly?
They were set up for a 200# I am 160 with my gear. Is this okay or should they be re set-up?

Default Elka help

Elka told me when I got mine to set everything, rebound and compression at 10 clicks from the softest setting and go from there.
