well i orderd a 03 from a dealer and he said it was alluminum....i now called alba and asked if the older model ds650s fit and he said the 04/05 look different and have diff part numbers than all the other ds650's..alba had 1 alluminum sprocket hub they sent out to me today so now i got a 03 alluminum sprocket hub and a 04 comming.

So just to sum all this up from 2000 till 2003 the ds650's never changed the swingarms axel or anything on the rear...so all hubs even if the 03 are alluminum can be changed up with 03 models and down and the 2004 and up models have a different swingarm and different than the older model ds650s sprocket hubs so they cannot be changed up with anything except 04 and up......wish i new this before i orderd the 03 hub [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

well.. I have an 03, and am damn near positive mine is steel... PM me about that 03 alum hub... I might be able to "help you clean it out of your garage" if you know what I mean [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
