Default Massive info for you power heads out there!!

This is a link to the SnoWest forum. It has a very in depth discussion on superchargers and turbo's. I read all I could stand before my brain went from 1/4 mush to 3/4 mush. Excellent information. I can see Majorecho stewing on this one for hours he he he. Dr. Echo probably already knows it all though!

Just a FYI, They are talking about adding these to the Yamaha RX-1 and the new Yamaha Apex snowmobiles. These sleds use the Yammy R-1 motor. When your talking power, sledheads take it to a whole nother level!!!!

I have a 2003 Arctic Cat Mountain Cat 900 159" track. Waiting for Cat to come out with a M series sled with a bigger motor than the 700 before i buy a new sled.

It would have to be really good in order for me to part with my 1150 powered King Cat that tips the scales at 470lbs......

My wife's mini-sandrail has the Yamaha RX-1 snowmobile motor in it and we have it Turbo'ed. It went from 160 hp to 225 hp on 5 #'s of boost in a 1000 # car with 18" of travel.

We are going to add fuel injection by KMS performance this summer, as using carbs with Turbos sometimes causes the engine to flutter when you are aggressively hitting whoops and jumps.

By the way, we bought the "Slayer" by Desert Dog Offroad, that was their showcar for two years. It performs great. You can check it out the photos on their website: desertdogoffroad.com
