Default Could it possibly have been this tight?

Alright well after taking off my head I found that the intake shims would not clear .0015 feeler gauge, so I followed the advice of this forum and had.006 taken off and today when I reinstalled them I still could not get a .0015 gauge in there. Could they have possibly been this tight, I'm almost postive I have everything reinstalled right, with the timing marks lined up and the motor at TDC

when i did mine last year i found out that my vales were actually being left open .015 in after going down like from if I remember correctly from 2.35 mm to like 2.15 then I got the right gap, if you still cant get your feeler gauge in then i think your valve is still open, maybe if it has been like that too long you could have burned your valve, let us know what happens

What could have caused a burnt valve?
