Where to get Titax?

Rocky Mt. pisses me off, I've had so many issues getting the wrong stuff from them, and them never having what I need in stock... I'm trying to get sprocket and they are outa stock - no more titax and they are outa stock on primary drive for 14T's! Last week I try to order a 14 and a 15, no 15's in stock. This week they have 15's, and no 14's!! Guess I'll call RWR or on_dunes or something, pay for the $35 instead of the $12.99, at least then I can ride! The higher dollar ones are higher quality and last longer but they don't last 3 times as long, making them really not worthwhile, but if its all you got then its all you got I guess. There's something to be said for service, or lack there of!

I think the terrain you ride in is why the RWR sprocket doesn't last 3x as long. Out here in the desert dirt and sand dunes, I'd bet the RWR sprocket will last at least 3x as long. (The budget 15t sprocket I bought from Eagle Collector a couple of years ago and put on my lightly used DS is already showing some hooking on the teeth, not good considering it really doesn't have that many hours on it.) That being said - I can see why you would want the budget ones since the stuff you go through tears them up too quick. How often do you go through chains?

Have you tried contacting Titax directly? Perhaps they have contact info on the box from the last sprocket if you still have it. If you contact the manufacturer, I'm sure they would be MORE than happy to hook you up with a reseller of theirs. I've had good luck contacting the manufacturer for things like this - most of the time.

I will go to titax website, drop them an e-mail asking for distributors, good idea Blackhawk.

I got 3 years outa the stock chain and rear sprocket, and in that 3 years I used up the stock front sprocket, one RWR front, and 2 or 3 of the cheapies from Titax and primary drive. Last spring I put on a new chain and alum rear from Sprocket Specialists, the alum rear is showing some wear but good for prolly another season, and used 2 cheapy fronts in that time.

Ok - What's the most popular sprocket type? What kind of metal? 42 and 43 tooth?

For me it was:
steel and 14 and 15 tooth primary drive.
Now it's:
steel 15 and 16 tooth primary drive.

I e-mailed Titax a few months ago looking for a 41 for the rear. Rocky Mtn. only had a 40 listed.

They are out of Checkoslovakia, so they directed me to their American distributor.

Guess who? Rocky Mtn.

Hightower, I think I have a 14 for ya. I'll pm ya next time I go out to the garage and look.
