Default Hole in Hose

Can anyone tell me where the hose is supposed to go that is on the bottom of the engine, right side, under the headers. Who ever had it, put this hose under the headers like an idiot and now has a hole in it and want to make sure this isn't supposed to connect anywhere. When I purchased my DS used it had the same problem. The heat from the headers melted thru the hose. It is nothing more then a crank vent. I swapped it out for 1/2" Stainless braided hose and routed it closer to the cylinder and up under the seat where I attached a small filter from the local auto parts store.

Thanks, just didnt know if it needed to be hooked up anywhere. I think i might just get the braided hoses for all of the hoses or the clear ones that I saw on the alba site.
