Default Nitrous switches

I said this once awhile back. If you are serious about drag racing with nitrous and have a very violent vehicle (I can't think of a more violent vehicle) the only way to go is with a controller. This way you can map the power to the track conditions.
At the very least, get a cheap RPM switch. This way with a delay box you can wire a micro on your clutch leaver and have the N2O come on after a preset delay. All of this delay box crap can get expensive and you might be able you just go out and buy the controller and be done with it.
If you are just playing with your friends then that's a different story.

Doctorturbo, were just ego racing on the hill. But I still want a good setup. Where do I look for the controller? I'm not sure about the clutch lever engagement, whats happens when you shift? I would just like it to hit right when I get on the gas, so I build a little power right before I let the clutch go. So many questions I know, but thankyou.

650VIPER here is one brand of controller. Controller
Essentially you can tell a computer when to turn the nitrous on and how much to inject at a given time. This way you can keep your mind on driving and not throttle position or anything else. You can also ramp up the amount of N2O you need at a certian time. There are endless ways to set this thing up. Over the net, it's hard for me to explain all the the things a contorller can do for you, but once you understand the system, it will become clear what these little boxes can do.
About the micro on the clutch leaver. Some people set up a micro switch on the clutch leaver to break the connection when they shift (or to make sure the juice does on come on when stagging at the line). This way it is easier on the clutch and engine parts.
Like I said above, some of this stuff can get pricey but if you are serious about winning races this is what it will take. If you are just screwing around with friends then any micro switch on the carb will work. You can also run an RPM trigger if you want. There are many, many ways to set up a trigger system on a N2O setup.
If I were you I would invite DemonDS over for a chat. I'm sure he can set you up.

Doctorturbo thanks for the link. Not what I am after though. Just a simple switch is all. Thanks again, Jed
