Bom Done With True Utility Quads?
#1
If it's true that Bombardier is going to discontinue the superb Traxter, without some sort of equivalent replacement (big thumper, solid rear axle, HD everything etc.), does this mean they intend to abandon this segment of the market? To me, that would be unfortunate, particularly since I'd been planning on buying a Traxter later this year.
Couple years ago, they made a lot of noise about partnering with conservation organizations (DU, and especially Pheasants Forever), boasting of the heavy-duty qualities of the also-departed Quest.
Sorry, but no utility quad should ever have the letters "H.O." in its title.
If you want a good quad for farm chores, food plots, etc., looks like all that's left is the Arctic Cat H1. Yecch.

I dont know Bombs stand on what your calling a "true" utility vehicle. But, if the new Outlander 800 cant get er' done....I dont know what will...Just my 2 cents

The way I understand the BRP transformation, is that the Traxter line that is sold by John Deer (Buck Series) will still be sold by John Deer and Built by BRP. John Deer will now have the exclusive on the Work type BRP utility quads. BRP dealers will have the more mainstream sportier products. I have to say I would love to have a JD 800 Outlander, for no other reason than its novelty effects. But the new plan would seem to be going to prohibit JD from getting a 800 Outlander for there lineup and BRP dealers from getting anymore traxter products.
