Usually, when you buy it, the dealer offers to register it for you. Unless you want to use it on the farm, or have it registered in wi, instead. Right now its more advantagous to register in wi, if youre going to ride there. But if its only gonna be used in mn, it wont matter. Right now , wi requires out of state riders to buy a trail sticker, but mn doesnt.
If the dealer doesnt do the registration, just go to any licence office, and they will sell you the dnr sticker.
Is that 800, actually bigger than 800 cc?If so, then it may have to be registered as a orv, which really limits where you can go, because I think the size limit on atvs is 800 cc. The state doesnt allow ohvs on atv trails, unless it specificly says you can, and that really cuts down on where its legal to ride.

The dealer should register it for you. Check out the MN DNR website to become familiar with the regulations, registration, etc...

As far as the DNR goes , if it says 800 on the side , it must be an 800 ! RIGHT ! and not a cc bigger . otherwise bomb would have named it an 809 , or something to that nature .
