Default BRP to counter 700 Raptor EFI???

Just got my new Dirt Wheels Mag, and Yamaha is releasing the raptor with a 680'ish motor, calling it a 700. The other goodies are what makes this bike sound good though. New suspension, a-arms, REVERSE,and EFI!!!!! This bike will definitely give the DS a run for it's money.

I hope BRP is doing something to counter this, or they will totally lose market share in the open class.

It looks like yamaha did thier homework on raptor 700. It will probily be better than ds650 in every way [stock vs stock]. Honda will release a big bore ex sooner or later, and don't think suzuki isn't wanting a big bore z on the market. Very soon ds will need more than efi and reverse to compete. Of course a 800 v-twin with a manual tranny, combined with a great handling, high speed chassis would be awsome. If its an auto I won't be intrested.

Except for durability and comfort, which is a very big deal for alot of Bomb riders and was a major player in bike selection, especially those of us who put in serious long term saddle term on big ride trips.
