Chirochris, rider forward also translates in to less back strain. The four stroke 1000 cc Yamaha Apex has a weight disadvantage and 20 less horsepower than the Ski-Doo Mach Z,so it won't run with it but aftermarket companies such as Bender Racing sell turbocharger kits with various stages of power and adjustable boost. Cost approx. $4500-$5500.You may also want to know that Bender Racing is working on a turbo kit for the Mach Z,with hope of hitting 300 HP.

The mach z is a lake racer ! Have you ever tried to ride 170 hp in the tight woods ? I had an old 155 hp mach z 3cyl . its very hard to steer when the skis are never on the ground . You can be much faster in the trails on a sled with a smaller eng that will still do 100 and yet be much easier on the checkbook . f5 = 90mph , f6 95-100 mph , f7 = wow!!! , mxz 600 ho 95-100 mph , mxz800 = wow!!! all fo less than the mach z or the yamadog 4 strokes . @00 + hp is all well and good , but do you want to spend 10 k on a sled and another 4-5 k on a turbo and only be able to use it 3-4 months a yr ? Buy a nice used rev or firecat and use the extra $$$ to go on lots of trips !!!

the new mach is WAY different than you old mach, comparing handling between the RT chassis and your CK3 chassis, and only 95-100 out of a 600H.O? hell i get ur 440 up to 90 wit some tweaking

If your 98 xc 700 is stock --- there is no way its diong 113 ! The polarass speedos are WAY off ! My 440 does close to 90 now and its almost stock , it will embarass most machines up to about 60 mph then it starts to peeter out some , but I'm also 275 lbs , go figure The speeds are what Ive seen with me riding ! If you put a 70 lb midget on a stock banshee it will beat almost anything ! It comes down to power to weight ratio . The new mach z's are different , but the ft end is too heavy , and the handling is not the same as a regular rev ! the geometry is a little different , and it makes a huge difference !

You want a fast two-up machine, check out the (5 years old or so) Arctic Cat Thundercats that were made with two-ups. 172 hp.

I HAVE A NEW MACH Z. AWESOME MACHINE EXCEPT FOR FRONT SHOCKS. A PAIR OF FOX FLOATS TOOK CARE OF THAT. JUST ADDED A BOONDOCKERS SYSTEM. WAITING FOR SNOW TO TRY IT OUT. SCARY FAST. NO TROUBLES IN THE TIGHT TRAILS
