Default 1974 Bombardier Elan 300

hey guys I got a old elan that has been sitting for about 3-4 years and it doesn't seem to want to turn over I didn't take it apart yet but I really hope its not the crank bent or anything does anyone have a idea of what might be jammed or seased?

Default 1974 Bombardier Elan 300

Might be the rings are rusted to cylinder wall. Pull plug and spray a little penetrating oil in cylinder and let sit for a day. Then try turning over by hand if possible.

Take the head off and get a block of wood after oiling the piston put the block of wood on the top of the piston and give it a couple of stern hits with a hammer. It should break loose. You will mostlikly need new rings. have fun.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
