Scoundrel, You are all good carrying the Gas. The really low limit on oil is due to it being used oil and containing all foms of contaminents. No worries on te fas.

 

There should be people running into Fallon each day so I woudn't worry about bringing all of your fuel out with you. I'm sure we can do a couple of gas runs if needed. I typically only bring 1 or 2 5gallon cans and fill up the DS.

Now if your running race fuel that is a different story. Don't know if they sell race fuel in Fallon.

 

How do you get there from Fallon. I will be coming in from reno?

 

THe highway passes right through the middle of downtown Fallon. You will see quite a few gas stations and stores if you need to stop and pick anything up. There is a Chevron on the right side of the higway that has water. Stay on highway 50 and continure about 25-30 miles past Fallon. You'll see a big white pile of sand off in the distance to the left . You would have to be asleep at the wheel to miss it. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I will be pulling in pretty later at night. Is there a exit name or can you see it at night as well?

 

Good idea. I think I'll just fill the bike and a single 5 gal gas can.

OK it's a done deal, I got the Black Expedition and it's sitting out front right now. I have the little red trailer hooked up to it as well....LOL

Anyone arriving at night. . . it will be very dark out there. Good news is you should be able to see the trailers and campfires even from the hwy.
