Guys, do the math correctly. Working it out mathematically and a DS with stock CDI hitting limiter around 7200 RPM will get 72.7 miles per hour with 15/40 and 22" tyres. Lets assume those 22" tyres grow a little to 23", which the do at high speed, and you can get up to 76 miles per hour before you hit the limiter.

With a CDI that will allow you to reach 7700 RPM you will hit limiter around 78 miles per hour, 81 miles per hour with tyres growing to 23 inches.
you forgot the baja x goes to 7900 rpms

Default Curios about my top end.

A well tuned 2001 DS650 with a 275lbs fat *** on-board will hit the Rev-limiter at 72mph , 75ft before the lights in a 1/8 mile drag strip.

"DONT ASK ME HOW I KNOWWWWWW"

it very possible your jetting is way rich and that is why your DS wont pull top gear.

Bigger.

A friend of mine loaned me a compression tester but it didnt have the right size.
Anybody know what size fitting i need.

I did use a gearing calculater and it said at 6500 where i think i was at i should of been
doing about 68 so im not that far off.
