THe sparks are dry cleaned the fuel tank.checked the bowl for fuel all this happenned after i changed the oil and filter.

 

I dont see how it can be related to oil and filter change. are you getting spark? No wet plugs. Does your battery have a full charge? Have you checked to see if you getting fuel to the carb. I just noticed in your first post you said you cleaned the "carbs" was that a typo or are you running dual carbs.?

 

Wait a minute i thought you said you cleaned the carbs. What you need to do is put it against the garage wall put it in 2, no im just kidding pull the choke and keep turning it over then pull the plug out and see if it is wet. you have to start somewhere. if you have spark and you have gas your bike should run.

What about the fuel valve? I had one go bad on me it would only work on reserve. Are you getting gas to the carb?

 

I'm getting gas to the carb and i'm getting spark.I can't figure it out.After about 15 minutes of trying and throttling the whole time it starts sometimes.
anyone have the carb diagram i had a buddy look at it for me and i'm afraid he may have put something back together wrong thanx again guys.2001 DS

you are getting gas to the carb but are you getting gas to your plugs choking it and turning it over for 3 to 4 seconds your plugs should be getting gas. heres what you do turn the kill switch on that way it wont start pull your choke and turn it over for 4 or 5 seconds, pull the plugs and see if they are wet, you said you had spark but was it a consistent blue spark or was it reddish?
