ds carb problems?
#33
1. open your carb again and put everything back where it was when you first saw it, double check the diaphram rubber on top, very easy to get it pinched and then slide wont open probably the cuase of the bogging you have now. Never try to adjust your way out of a starting problem that comes on sudenly, somthing must have changed suddenly and it wasnt jet / needle settings.
2. do like the man says and fit new plugs also make sure the battery is fully charged (DS likes its full charge of juice) . then check the spark is good. (blue)
3. if it still doesnt start pull the plug after crancking and it should be wet and smell of gas. if you are unsure you can put a very small amount of gas in plug hole then refit the plug , if it fires you know its definetly a fuel problem.
Some times if its a fuel problem ie blocked jets if you remove the air filter tube from the carb place the palm of your hand over the carb mouth and cranck the engine the resulting vacum will pull fuel through and IT will start, carfull it doesnt eat your hand

If you still cant get fuel or spark post again.
good luck
