ds650 starting problem HELP
Hi ganggreen. My problem I beleive was not having a good charged battery. I would try hooking up a set of jumper cables to a good battery if you havnt yet. Do not try using a battery charger because that may burn something up, it did burn up my tach. I have not had that problem since I put a new battery in and used a good battery to jumpstart it. Let us know what you come up with and I hope this helps. RUSS

Crank case pressure !!
Hi everyone I have a 2000 DS650 and it cranks over very slow even with a new battery. Just by accident i noticed when i leave the stator cover loose it cranks over fast and starts right up. It seems to be blowing compression into crank case causing it not to turn over fast enough unless left loose so it can release the pressure. Any help would be great Im new to Can-Ams

Hey guys I'm new to this forum!! Hope I'm doing this correctly. I just bought a 2000 ds 650 baja. It had been parked in the weather for a year. The crankcase was full of gas so u drained the oil tank, crankcase, and put new atv oil in it and filter. I also put 2 new spark plugs in it and have been using my battery from my king quad 450. When it is cold I have to lay on the starter button without letting off and hold the throttle wide open after a minute or so of this it will begin to pick up then all of a sudden wham it starts Erving and running and will idle. I can take off and ride it and stop and shut it off and it will fire back up. But after a few minutes of riding the oil light will faintly come on to where h can hardly see it. It also has came on fully twice and I shut it down. Also it doesn't have the power it should have. But I was hoping the starting issue and the power may be 1 and the same. Sorry if I ha end explained good enough I'm really puzzled. I also flushed and changed the coolant. And I also used the screw by the filter when I changed oil. Any help would be appreciated!
