welcome message on 800?

Default welcome message on 800?

I heard there was a welcome message on the outlander 800. This true? What is it?

What ever you tell them to put in it at the time of purchase. I think mainly it is for your name, at least it was for me. But i guess its your bike you can have them put in whatever you wanted it to say up to the maximum allowed characters (I dont have a idea how many that is). One drawlback to this system I have seen is you have to take it to the dealer for them to take off the maintenance soon messages and this kinda sucks if you live far away from the dealer. It will tell ya when it need the service based on the amount of hours on it. SO initial brake in is 10 hours... at 11 it tells ya "maintenance soon" right when you turn on the key, then it proceeds to the name that you put in it afterwards. Hope all this made sense to ya.
