Default 450 carb installed

I got a carb from service honda and installed it last night it was kind of a pain in the butt. I had to grind part of the frame to make it fit and the throttle cable still does not go in as straight as I would like it too but it is smooth definantley alot stiffer than stock because you are operating the linkage and the accelerator pump. I rode it and it feels a little peppier in the bottom end but no noticable differance in the top end but I have not adjusted it at all yet except for the jetting I am running a #50 Pilot and a #180 Main and the needle is still in the stock notch I think I am still a little lean when I let off the throttle it will give a slight backfire sound but not with a bang. If anybody has one of these and can give me any pointers to make my adjusting the honda carb easier please let me know.

Here is a link to another forum that talks about the Honda carb. Maybe it can help you out.
