520 vs. 530 chain

I switched to the 520 Sidewinder set up it is very expensive but I have about a 100 hours on my bike since I did the conversion last year and I am not exagerating the sprockets don't have any wear on them at all. I just cleaned my bike up last weekend and I could not believe how good the sprockets looked they looked brand new.

I just put my 520 Sidewinder Ti-Moly setup on and it looks awesome.... I'm trying real hard to get out this weekend to give it a test... we will see. I upgraded a bunch of stuff (cut hubs, Vortex, HV48) so I probably won't be able to tell what exactly the Sidewinder setup does, but the combo should killer.

is sidewinder still the only option as for good sprockets in the 520 size? I see lots of people offer aluminum rears but that means replacing often so.... any other options? Sidewainder is a lot cash for chain and sprocket.......

I run woods front and Sidewinder rear. Ive used a few alum. rears and I only get about two trips with them before their shredded. the Ti-Moly is near indestructable. My build is a 730 on the juice and I have pounded on them mercilously and there in great shape.

The stock chain is only 8500 tensile strength as a 530. You can get that or better at rockymountainatv for much cheaper then sidewinder for the chain. Use woods for the front, and sidewinder for the ti-moly rear. The alum 530 rear sprockets run for a long time, but as a 520 they go fast....

I have a PBI aluminum rear sprocket for my 520 chain that has about 6 rides on it and it shows almost no wear at all. This sprocket is made from 7075 T651 and so far it is wearing like steel.I run my DS hard on my dune rides at times so it has held up well.
