I wonder how many aluminum sprockets one would go through for every Ti-Moly sprocket?

Any one know the weight difference between the 520 Tri Moly Sprocket 42t vs the 520 Steel Sproket 42t?
Oh it would be 3 Aluminum Sprockets vs the Tri Moly on cost, Wear would depend on chain type, care of the chain, and riding styles, I have a aluminum rear with D.I.D. o-ring chain on my LT 500 thats over 10 years old with miles and miles on it and still in GREAT shape!

I run woods front and Sidewinder rear. Ive used a few alum. rears and I only get about two trips with them before their shredded. the Ti-Moly is near indestructable. My build is a 730 on the juice and I have pounded on them mercilously and there in great shape.

I have a stack of completley hammered alum. sprockets. The sidewinder is still going strong. At around 65 bucks a pop for an aluminum one every few months, drop the 150 and forget about it! I couldnt get more than 2 or 3 weekends out of a aluminum sprocket. money well spent for me.

One thing I have found is that the aluminum sprockets last much longer if you run your chain slightly tighter than Bomb 530 spec.

This is true! If you do this, you need to keep your chain in better condition than most do........way better than I do! lol
On the R1 bike I have to keep a very tight chain.......way tighter than I feel comfortable, anyway to keep sprockets on it.........but it works. I just replace it often.
