Hey guys this is off the bike subject, but I'm planning a short honeymoon in Seattle soon. Do you have any recommendations on where to stay, and what tourist attractions to see? I was looking at the Seattle Sheraton, is this a good pick?

Also do you recommend a rental car, or is city transit good? Thanks, MIke

im not sure about good hotels but when you are here you have to see the pike place market. there is a company that has a tour boat that runs around lake washington. you get some good views of seatlle and some surrounding cities, they supply food and have a dance floor upstairs with a live band, sorry i cant remember the name. i dont know if you are into the night clubs but there are a bunch around pioneer square. there is also a dinner train that goes from renton(20mins south of seattle) to woodinville where you tour a winery and then go back to renton, the wifey should love that. if you need more advice go to the Where To Ride forum on atvconnection and say something on the puget sound area riders thread

Seattle is a very touristy city and there is allot to do here, BUT the outlying areas around the city are wonderful to visit also.......
I agree with $Klls on Pike Place Market WONDERFUL atmosphere lots to see, the Whole waterfront is very cool....if Ur into music we have the Experience Music Project
But do yourshelf a favor and get out of the city and check out the outlying areas, You'll be glad You did.......

honeymoon in Seattle??

Good advice so far....

Also, maybe hop on a floatplane at Kenmore Air (north end of lake washington) and get a birdseye view of the San Juan Islands,,,,and possibly do a couple nights at a lodge up there as well.

A night in Victoria BC wouldn't hurt either.

Argosy is the tour company Skllz was referring to. I personally recommend the "Locks Tour"

underground tour would be a good idea also,,,in conjunction with a trip to Pioneer Square (old seattle)

You can combine all of the above,(including Pike's Place Market),,,,as the Locks tour leaves from the seattle waterfront which is right near pioneer square.

Walking the Seattle waterfront and checking out all the peirs is a good time also.

also,,,,save the good weather day for a trip up the space needle,,,,have some lunch up there as well

The experience music project that BigDaddy mentioned is right next to the space needle.

I'm done now,,,,sorry for rambling

A drive to Mt Rainier is a good way to burn a day too. There is always Mt St Helens just a little further south.
