I am very impressed what the magazines have written about the Outlander 800. However, I would like to hear from those of you that have own or ridden one. How does it compare to the other Big Bores? I know there is a lot to like about it, what don't you like about it?

I'v never ridden a KQ, so I can't give you a direct comparison. This is one amazing quad. Sit up close to the bars and the wheels spin easily. Sit in the middle and she takes off like a rocket. Sit back and the wheels fly off the ground. The power is very smooth with immediate torque. Power delivery is almost like an electric motor, which is saying a lot.
Other than being too wide feeling, the Sportsmans are more stable and smooth. Of course, the width is why the are more stable. The Outty 800's suspension is very good. I am still working on adjusting and getting used to the front. But, as I have stiffened them, the handling is more precise. The rear is exceptional. I am looking at putting 14" wheels/27" Mudlite XTR tires on, so I hope to improve on an already good handling machine. I have done a little jumping off a table top and the landings are ultra smooth. Keep in mind, my jumping is not too high, only about 1.5-2 feet since I am really not through break-in yet.
This is a very fun utility quad. I am not ready to compare it to sport quads, but this is the best utility machine that I have ridden by far. This machine is relatively quiet with a great rumble.
So far, there isn't anything not to like.
No mud or water yet, so no news there.
GE4X4 could chime in with better details since he just raced a GNCC event.

Click the link below, this guy has a very good review of the Outty 800, he compares it to his Grizzly. There's also some good videos of him racing other quads and stuff on the site.
