Today I took off my right side case where the stator is and when I pulled it off a polished washer fell out I am not sure if it goes on the gear that is meshed to starter gear or the other gear close to the stator . It will fit on both I am thinking it goes on the one meshed with the starter it makes more since but want to be sure.

i've never had my stator cover off so I don't know, but if nobody can answer it on this post soon I can e-mail you a parts diagram over the weekend for this area, I'm at work now and do not have a manual at my disposal.

 

ahhh yes... I too just two days ago found this out.

It's a washer that sits between the cases.
If you look closely, it goes towards the front of the motor.

It's hard to explain, but I'll see about a picture.

 

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am not putting it back together until Monday or Tuesday.
