No, your right. I have not recovered the 'one' your speaking of....

I ended up buying one from my buddy, who I had started to set up like my old one for him.... however, he went to the smaller Honda 450 and never rode this '03 Baja. Now, I've got one very similar (after a couple thousand $$) and all I need to do is add some HIDs... in time.

It's done... I'll take some pics out in the dez this weekend and send'em to my profile... I've got a laptop with a GSM PCMCIA Card for broadband... Nice huh?! All work provided. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Ok folks...

I have to tell ya...
I'm thoroughly NOT impressed once again with this Magura clutch.

WHY you ask??

Well, as my GF was about 30 miles from our camp this weekend, the clutch line blew and spewed oil all over the bike. Completely losing the clutch. What is odd, is there was nothing for it to rub against. Nor was it in a spot where it'd be too hot. It just exploded out one side of the tubing.

I've been okay with how it works... but the risk over reward isn't paying off, and I'll be removing it to put the cable pull back on. It's one of those things that just isn't made for reliability unless your running the braided line, and aren't an animal of a rider like my GF I guess. The first $125 can have it.... blown line and all.

 

The seat on that thing is HUGE!!....what kinda heal guards are those they are pretty nice looking.

Yes that seat is large and in charge. About an inch too tall actually. But it works for it's intent. The heal guards are wrinkle powdercoated IMS. Not AC, but the real IMS versions. It took me a long time to find them, but White Brothers has them and yes, they have to be used with the Doug Roll version pegs.

Oh, and to "float your boat"... Every single time I talk about that ride... I talk about the "guy" who simply hauled *** on the DS. And for anyone else reading this... you have no idea! Lobo is an older guy (over 40)... and I'm 38. However, I was on 2 wheels HAULING *** in Baja on a ride. He passed me on a rocky uphill! I then claimed my place in front of him again... but I tell ya, this guy simply rides!!
