Default 400 outlander brakes wore out.

GF's machine developed a terrible noise when braking mostly when hard braking. On inspection found front pads GONE L&R sides. Had to look real close as could see no mark where backing plate to pad transition was cause was none. Has anyone else heard or experianced early wear on their pads? Rears look fine. Does anyone have a sggestion of a more durable replacement?

is this an 03? Or an early 04?
It was common on those years. Ive got an early 04 with original pads and close to 2000miles with no problems. They get REALLY noisy when wet but theyre fine other wise.
I hardly have to use the brakes. Just stick it in low and let off the gas. Even in high the engine braking does all the work. And i ride like a mad man.

It is an 05 with about 1000 miles on it. We do quite a bit of mudding. Looking at the EBC SV serere duty as a replacement set.
