he's not...thats how!

You cant run next to a 1/1 vehicle and expect to get accurate speed readings. Car speedos (and truck speedos more so) are generally off quite a bit. Try using a gps and you will find your speed isnt in the 90's.

Stock gearing and 22 inch tires with a huge wind behind me got to my 7900rpm rev limiter and was 83-84 mph. Not worth the horrible take off and time it took to get there(cant get there without wind behind you) or big mods. Now im 15/41 gearing with 22 inch tires she takes off hard and pulls all the way to the top at 77.8mph. 95mph!!! with just a WB eseries pipe that doesnt give u top power and a uni filter--NO way!!!

well the thing is i really dont want to drop the gearing any i just wanted to add more power to the low end and not sacrifice the 95 mph i have now

thanks matt

if you really want more power you would drop a tooth on the front sprocket....since u cant or maybe just barely can pull the gearing you have now(only sometimes) you are missing the take off the 15 tooth would give you and would only loose around 3-4mph on the top.

I have never understood the need for the top end... If all I rode was old fireroads I could understand, but most dont, and at least for me, I would prefer awesome accleration over anothe 10 or so mph top end. @ like 7500 rpm with 20 inch tires (bald) and 15/40 I got somthing like 68 mph. 60ish mph is plenty for where I ride!

Anyone doing 90+mph on a fire road has huge b@lls. Huge ruts and dropoffs can sneek up on you real quick at that speed. Unless you are on a paved road (very illegal) there is no reason I can see to be running at 90+... unless you have a death wish.

well the faster you go, the more forward motion therefore less time for your quads tires to actually fall into holes (unless were talking big holes, in which case hopefully they can be seen). When we dune ride we run topped out as far as we can, which is usually right around 70, and that is PLENTY fast when you dont always know whats coming up (in the dunes im always worried about g-outs and the like which can seriously mess you up if you fly off at that kind of speed).

No, it was my gearing, i had 22's on my ds before i put on my trinity exhaust, the 22;s wouldn't let the engine rev out, i just got new 20inch razrs this made it alot better, im finding i still cant hit the rev limiter in fith, about 7,500/8,000 rpm

Im the exact opposite for my type of riding.....80 percent is all top speed(highways with bout 6 cars an hour, nice gravel roads, logging roads) the other 20.. well tiny bit of trails and ditch riding. But if i was all trails there is no way i would be running the gearing i am now i would gear her down to about 70mph.

maybe it is the year of the bikes or something but i keep seeing people say they cant get to there rev limit even with 20's

i bounce off mine in every gear like nothing..its almost annoying..i have very basic mods--endcap, filter and hiperformance regulater with stock jetting..i am pinging off this thing in every gear

raced a few shee's and would be winning until i bounce the rev in 4 and 5th gear and loose speed and they would win.....

baja02 maybe your not set up right, if you cant hit the rev with your mods and 20's
